Maruyama Shokai, the predecessor of Maruyama Mfg. Co., Inc., was founded in Takada, Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture. At the time, fire extinguishers were not yet common in Japan.
The company’s first motorized sprayer led to a range of products that supported agriculture.

As part of its environmental policy, the plant implemented initiatives to reduce environmental impact. These efforts were validated through a registration audit by JQA (Japan Quality Assurance Organization), leading to certification under the international ISO 14001 standard.
