Green Procurement

The Maruyama Group is engaged in a variety of environmental preservation activities, one of which is the active implementation of green procurement. Maruyama has established Green Procurement Guidelines, which are used as the foundation of all green procurement activities.

Our green procurement activities would not be possible without the understanding and cooperation of our valued suppliers. We ask that you read and understand the green procurement policies of the Maruyama Group, and request your continued cooperation and support in implementing them.

Priority goal: Reducing the use of substances with high environmental impact

As part of the Maruyama Group's CSR activities, we are committed to complying with the Law on the Evaluation of Chemical Substances and Regulation of Their Manufacture, etc. We have therefore made it a priority to voluntarily eliminate the use of the following six hazardous substances in manufactured products, and have subsequently achieved considerable reductions in this area.
We are now planning to apply this policy to OEM consignment products and spare parts.

The decision to restrict the use of the six substances below is based on the European Union's Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) and End of Life Vehicles Directive (ELV).

Six Hazardous Substances Whose Use Is to Be Reduced

Lead (Pb)
Mercury (Hg)
Cadmium (Cd)
Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+)
Polybrominated biphenyl (PBB)
Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)
